Journal Prompt: The Disappearing Trick
I had some Christy Tomlinson She Art tissue paper that I didn't want to rip as the sentiments are lovely; she felt like she could fly. She had the desire to create. She was ok with being imperfect. I also had some spotty tissue paper that I decided to use.
I found a quote online and added that - another page done!
I normally come up with a word for the year and was sent this link today from Carrie Hensley - it's a free course called unravelling 2016 and it also has a free 5 day course helping you choose your word for the year.

Journal Prompt: You Had Me At Hello
Whilst thinking about this prompt I was listening to Adele's new album - the quotes on either side of the page are the first few lines in the first two songs. It got me thinking about a past (thankfully) relationship so I came with this page.
It started off with masking tape and washi, I added paint, gold brayered on the pages and then deli paper under the figures.
I added the quote with my new dymo letratag :)
Hope you are being crafty

Mandala Magic - Contemporary Hamsa
Day 4 of Mandala Magic and today is a contemporary hamsa.
I coloured the hamsa with promarkers and coloured the mandala with a neomarker.
I outlined some of the lines with jelly pens but you can't see it on the larger picture. Hopefully you can see it better on this picture.
Hope you have crafty plans today

Mandala Magic = Day 3 Concentric Circles
I'm still using the Windsor and Newton Journal and this time I coloured the mandala in with promarkers. It did bleed through to the back page but I'm ok with that.
Colouring was very therapeutic, I forgot how therapeutic it can be - I do have some colouring books (for adults) that I should get out!

Journal Prompt: Mirror Mirror
I am still waaaay behind but trying to do all the pages! This weeks challenge was a self portrait but I followed Rae's advice and went to a website that turned photos into line drawings - then went over it with pencil and paint. The light was quite bright on the photo so the line drawing lost my nose......I know....how do I smell......
So I (badly) sketched it in myself. The photo is from many years ago when my hair was straight.
I found the quote online and it reads ' Mirrors have 3 purposes, to show you who you are, to show you who you were and to to show you who you want to be' - Dan Pearce.
As it's Wednesday here is a picture of my desk - still in crimble card mode...
and a quick card I made for my mum's neighbour who had a baby girl.
Hope your week is going well
