Oh Christmas Tree

The Saturday Sketchie is back on the CMLI group on Craft Bubble and the challenge was to use a Christmas Tree.  I decided to use red and white, i embossed some card and went round the edges with chalk, then I decided to put some stickles around the tree....big mistake! They took all day too dry I kept touching them by mistake and they were wiping off everywhere and they warped the card!! I won't be using them for a long time (until I forget and think they look pretty!).

Hope everyone's weekend is going well and happy rudolph day!

Everything is SU except card candi by craftwork cards and sentiment by pink petticoat

Sunday Challenge

Clare set the challenge of three of a kind and I had been wanting to use this stamp for ages. The image is a Lavinia stamp which has been sat in its packaging for a couple of months! The background distressing is with memento inks danube blue and paris dusk and santa is stamped in tuxedo black. Sentiment is from a popcorn and friends christmas and birthday kit.

I used low tack masking tape to tape a section and then faced my arch nemesis - DISTRESSING! No matter how many times I do it I always forget and go straight to the card/paper, hopefully it just likes like a mix of midnight colours!

I will be entering this card into the following challenges;

Crazy Christmas Challenge - no red or green
Use it Tuesday - uninked stamp (santa)
Creative Inspirations - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - sky
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Alphabet Challenge - q for quick and simple

Going out with a bang (or maybe a boo!)

Happy Thursday and it's time again for a new challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges! Sadly this will be my last Dt post, out of necessity not choice, if you have been following my blog you will know I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I will be going back to my full time job sometime soon and something has to give..I may end up dropping my hours. I will miss my lovely teamies and the support we all provide for one another..anyway back to todays make!

This weeks challenge is to use Autumn colours, I knew straight away I had to use one of the 7 dwarfkins, available here. I love all things halloween so decided to make a very straightforward treat bag.
Papers are SU! pumpkin pie and basic black and the bulldog clip is also SU! Promarkers used for colouring, MS zigzag punch and ribbon from stash.Die cuts are nesties. Googly eyes from stash.

The sweet bag is stapled to the back piece of card so the front is not damaged when a choc fiend tries to rip the goodies out!
Don't forget to visit the blog to see what everyone else has created! So lets see your Autumn colours and don't forget if you use on of our images, your entry is counted twice!

Today's makes..

from a class run by my Stampin Up! demo pal Carole.  Our first make was this delightful flower card., using embossing powder and inks.

Next up was this completely gorgeous christmas card, I love this colour combo and this cas card is one of my all time faves, quick and simple, perfect card!
Our next make was a little bit trickier but Carole had already scored the card for us.. I  think it looks great, I don't think i have seen a card like this before!

We finished a little earlier than planned so did a little paper folding and created a kimono to house a gift.

ok that's everything for today, hopefully will get some more crimble cards done this week!

Asking for help

*STICKY POST *

Those people that follow me will know I say very little about home/work life and am a reasonably private person. After having lots of neck/shoulder pain for 2 months, I was diagnosed last week with Fibromyalgia. For those who don't know what this is quite simply you are in pain and exhausted. No cure or treatment  -  just pain management and possibly massage/chiropractice/acupuncture.

I am organising  UK Only atc swap. Please send a sae along with your atc and make a donation of £1.50. Email me for my snail mail addy. Swap closes 10th Sept.

For those who don't make atc's, you could donate the sale of a handmade card or just make a donation.

Money goes straight to the charity via Just Giving, I do not receive anything.

It really would mean the world to me if you all took part,

Debbie xx

ATC's

These are my first ever ATC's. I have organised a swop in an attempt to raise money for the Fibromyalgia Association, as I was diagnosed with this last month. The main problem with this condition is the pain, the only treatment is pain management. I have been in near constant pain since June but saw a specialist physio last week so will be seeing my Gp to try different painkillers.

Anyway back to the ATC's. Stamps used are all Stampin Up!, Friendly background stamp, butterfly from Strength and Hope set and tiny tag set.  SU jewellery tag punch, everything else from stash.

I will be entering these atc's into the following challenges;

Circles!

is the new challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenge's.  What a great theme which could be interpreted so many ways! I have used the puffer fish image from the sea life set which can be bought from the shop. He is the most circular fish I have seen! I also used googly circle eyes and card candi (circular) with some stickles on for good measure!

I also used a circular card which I have 'tried' to make look like a goldfish bowl.

Coloured with promarkers, background reeds are a magnolia stamps, reeds in front made from a woodware leaves punch.

Don't forget if you use a Digi Doodle Shop image your entry will count twice and please stop by the blog to see what delightful creations my teamies have come up with!!

Fantasy Week

This week’s challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges is Fantasy/Fairy Tales. We have some fabulous images over at the store and if you use one of our images your card will be entered twice!
The image I used is Fairy in Flight and I just love her in turquoise!
IMG_2670b
It was really hard trying to take the pic without getting a glare from the mirri card! I added some stardust in silver with a Lavinia stamp. There are 3 stars along the ribbon but you can probably see their reflection better than the stars! I used a Fairydoodles sentiment  and the bluey shiny paper is from stash.
