Welcome to my blog!

From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

Me Time Messages No. 1

Out of sync as the texture paste had to dry overnight - put far too much on!

Front

Quote - I believe in love that's fun, that is caring and that is honest.

Back

I pressed the negative piece of a mask into the texture paste to create the pattern

Hope you have something to look forward to this week!

Me Time Messages No.2

I am taking part in Me Time Message Summer School put together by Clare.

I have already made me message holder (on an earlier post) and this is MTM 2. I did start with the first one but was too heavy handed with the texture paste so had to leave it to dry overnight.

Front

I used orange and green for the paint stripes but once it had dried it looked black. It reads it is what it is.

Back

It may not look obvious but the dp is upside down - of course I did that on purpose.....
It reads accept what is, let go of what was and have faith in what could be.

Hope you are having a crafty weekend!

Hmm this picture doesn't seem very big..
Anyway
Orange acrylic paint background with shapes and lines in red and yellow paint. Silver acrylic paint wash over that and red, gold and copper (or maybe bronze) paint for the letters. Glaze pens for the writing and flower/bee

Hope your week is starting off crafty!

My Me Time Message Folder finished!

The front with two pics  (from a while ago) to personalise it.

The back with a picture of one of my handbags (handbag fetish) and one of my filofax which I am currently obsessed with :)

I used bronze acrylic paint and a Tim Holtz stencil -  although the paint is slightly translucent it also gives a great shimmer!

Hope your weekend is going well!!

Reasons to be grateful.......my gratitude journal

I didn't finish May as work was so terrible and I have finished June and it keeps echoing... glad to get away from work, glad to finish early...

A lot of the staff are lovely but it's the management, the politics, the ego's......

I have put in an application to University for a 12 month training/working contract - one of my colleagues has applied but we have both applied to different practices so we have our fingers crossed.

On a happier note I have a crafting/shopping weekend ahead with crafty pals and I am counting down the hours. Working 3 evenings this week due to lack of staff so I will definitely be ready for it!

Hope you all have something to look forward to :)
