Welcome to my blog!

From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

Just say ho!

I am going on a stitching retreat soon and there is a gift exchange where you include one stitched item based on Christmas. I decided to make an ornament even though I have never made one before (and my sewing skills are pants!).

It's not perfect but for a first attempt it's not too bad :)

Autumn Journal Page

This was done in my large dylusions journal using dylusions paint. Tim Holtz stamps for the leaves and acorns. Tim Holtz stencils an dylusions stamps for the word autumn. Spellbinders dies for the pumpkins.

Autumn is my favourite season, I love halloween and bonfire nights and the colours of the leaves.

How is your October going?

Rudolph Day

It is my turn to set the challenge for my craft group for Rudolph Day. I have chosen the theme of baubles and used a stamp set by hero arts that I picked up whilst out shopping with a crafty friend. I used a base of music paper and added some gems for bling.

Hope you are having a crafty day :)

Stitchmaynia

Stitchmaynia is a group on facebook for cross stitchers and the name comes from 15 new starts on the first 15 days of May. Lots of people adapt and work on projects already started and some people have a monogamous May. Here is my take on it so far..

Craftathon 2017

This year it was my turn to host craftathon. It started on Friday afternoon at the Nags head where Jan, Catherine and myself had a lovely lunch. We went on to the centre where we got set up and met with Kathy and Cherry.

After some crafting we walked a few steps down the road for a lovely meal at the Spread Eagle then gathered for drinks at the beefeater. The stay at the Premier Inn was not without its trauma but lets not go there...

We eat at the beefeater on Saturday night, again not without its moments but it was still a nice evening. We met up for coffee, chat and last minute crafting on Sunday morning but Catherine had headed off to comicon to meet one of her idols :). Thankfully we weren't there long as a childrens party was going on next door and there was a guy in the kitchen in his underpants apparently..... Anyway I had a great time, hope everyone else did too and we are already talking about next years!!!

Thanks ladies xx
