Welcome to my blog!

From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

Junk Journal Make

This is my 2nd make  - I started with a piece of cardboard from the back of a pad. I used gesso and then an inktense block with water.

I used feather stamps for a border and varied  versafine, memento and SU inks for different colours. I added a couple of wings. I used an alphabet block stamp on a coloured background which is an off cut from a smackin acetate piece.

The net over the top is stapled in place, it came from a bouquet of flowers my lovely Sis bought me. The fluffy string was attached to a thank you note which I received with an order from a craft company but I can't remember which.

I have decided to send this to a friend who has been unwell and played around with some stamps so it would be happy mail :)

Hope you all have a nice crafty week planned!

I am entering this make into the following challenges;

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Anything Goes
Incy Wincy Designs - Add Texture
Pan Pastels - Anything Goes

Splendid make. Love your mail art too - those lost coast bubbles are great aren't they?

Such a lovely Idea, I love the pink and the net idea, I have often wondered about using the net you get on fruit.

What a great tag! I loved all of the techniques you employed and I thought the net and fluffy string gave it so much texture! The colors you used make it come to life and I love the whimsy and energy it carries. I also got a kick out of your envelope art! You really made a great creation both inside and out. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
