Tibetan Prayer Flag/Inspirational Bunting

I attended a fabulous workshop run by Debbie Howard and met some other lovely ladies, the sun was shining and it was a great crafty day.

We started off 2 blank sheets and got busy playing with paints and stencils.

After our cake break we cut some pieces out and started scouring magazines for pictures and words.

Once our cards were done they were scanned into a computer and printed out again. We ironed them onto muslim and stitched them onto ribbon.

and we get the cards as well

These really are a great addition to your craft space!

Hope you have something crafty planned this week!

Masterboard

I created another masterboard by using neocolours on waterproof paper then going over them with water, stamping and dripping ink on them

I cut them out, layered them with black and found some kraft cardstock

easy peasy

Hope your weekend is going well

Messing around....

After watching Tam Laporte altering a childrens book I rescued a book that someone gave oh... it's really old so not sure why they did....

I gesso'ed a page and mixed a bit of pink in with it

I had a play around with some neocolours

I guess it's upcycling

Happy Friday!

DLP - Say Cheese

May Theme

Art Challenge:  Cheesecloth
Journal Prompt:  Say Cheese

I didn't have any cheesecloth so went with the idea of using a photograph instead. I found this in a leaflet from an old music book I  bought in a second hand shop. I used the ranger 'sepia' glossy accents over the top for a tint of colour and a shiny surface.

I found the quote online and thought it was perfect for this image.

Door Hanger

Another creation from my mini craftathon with goodies kindly supplied by Kathy :)

I must have deleted the first picture by mistake - everything was stuck down and covered with gesso. I then went over it this gorgeous raspberry paint again supplied by Kathy.

I then went over the ephemera (?sp) with gold paint.

These fabby keys were supplied by my OH as a present - they are made by Tim Holtz. I went over them again with the raspberry paint to highlight the words.

I hope your week is going well

Tags, tags, tags

Whilst at my mini craftathon I also had a play around with some kraft tags I picked up by the sme designer that does the 'doll' stamps. They are quite sturdy so you can do a lot with them.

I used my dylusions paint and stencilled, stamped and added adornments! I still have quite a few left so was maybe thinking about bunting although I am going to a craft class making inspirational/tibetan flag bunting.

Hope your Friday is going well

Acetate Journal

I spent a weekend with some crafty pals and our lovely host Kathy supplied us with a chipboard/acetate journal. I had brought along my dylusions and went for
bold colours.

I stamped in black on the acetate but used the same stamp in different colours on the chipboard.

Now I just need to decide what to put in it!!

Hope you have been getting inky fingers!
