Welcome to my blog!

From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

Very belated Happy Christmas

Hope everyone had a lovely time. I had family staying with me so didn't manage to get near my laptop. This is what Santa brought me..

Another gift from Santa

Hope you all managed to squeeze some crafting in!

A Year of Gratitude

I did enjoy making my own journal and decorating it - I must try and find time to make another one before January but I need to decorate the outside of this one first!

What are you grateful for today?

Merry and Bright

More Christmas cards inspired by my workshop with Jo Firth-Young! I created a masterboard using fresco bora-bora and stamped the jofy snowflakes with pearl medium acrylic paint.

They look different colours but honestly they are the same page!

I used some turquoise paint on the jofy stars (as you can see on the first pic) and cut them out.

I cut out a section with my nesties, added a silver snowflake and on the middle star, added gems and raised it up on foam pads.

Hope you have been crafty today :)

Bah Humbug!

After a very festive workshop with Jo Firth-Young at the Stamp Attic in Wantage I came home with new stamps and inspiration! One of the cards we made had white paint on kraft so I decided to use that as a background for my snowman!

I used a pearl medium acrylic paint for shading on him and pastel paints for the rest of his outfit.  I also added some card candy to match the colours of the card.

Have you finished all your Christmas cards yet?
