Journal 52 - week 14 Rain or Shine

Still out of order and still behind :)

ink spray on gesso'd chipboard and then dripped on it. Hearts are book pages sprayed with ink and punched out. Went around them with black pen and around the words with sparkly glitter pen.

Happy Tuesday...it's nearly the weekend...the long weekend..but realistically I still have 3 days to work...ah well....at least it's not Monday....

Playing around with pan pastels and washi

I think the page is slightly warped as the back page to it has lots of things stuck down. It looks shiny as I 'fixed' it in place which allows you to go back and put another colour of pp on top of it without them blending - another test page really!

I used versamark inks as they are permanent and used up another sticker which reads -  To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others.

Hope your weekend is going well!

Gratitude Journal - April Pages

Instead of die cuts I used my inktense blocks to create 'places' for my dates. This is also my entry for Journal 52 - colour swatch.

I spritzed the background with various sprays, fireworks and another that I had with a gold and silver hue (can't remember whose they are though!). I used my new washi tapes and did some background stamping.

Hope you all have something to look forward to (except Friday!)

Pan Pastels Play around

Messing around with pp's trying to get the pressure right to get a consistent colour. Also found some stickers that need to be used (the sentiment)!

It reads - All you need is deep within you waiting to unfold and reveal itself.

Hope your weekend is going well :)

Another Moonshine Piece

From the online course by Effy Wild - Effy's piece was more green/gold/red but I had just won red and yellow pan pastels! I stamped bubbles with versamark ink and then went over the top with the pan pastels. Unfortunately I worked on my next piece the same day and the markers bled through slightly.

I thought it could do with a bit more so went back in with inktense blocks

Love these as you can get such a rich strong colour from them.

It reads

The moon, grown full now over the sea,

Brightening the whole of heaven,

Brings to separated hearts

The long thoughtfulness of night….

It is no darker though I blow out my candle.

It is no warmer though I put on my coat.

So I leave my message with the moon

And turn to my bed, hoping for dreams
