Kindness....

A very simple card using a punch and a SU sentiment. I have seen similar cards and thought they had such a lovely effect with so few things!

Lovely bubbly!

The lovely Clare over on CMLI set the June Challenge of 'celebrate and open a bottle'. I did try and come up with a spin on it but the only thing I could think of was opening a bottle of liquid pearls which I have never used before!

I also added some stickles for the sparkle around the glass and around the image.

I used an embossing folder to add more bubbles.

Dog of the Week

We have another lovely boy this week who is looking for a home courtesy of  Oxford Retired Greyhound Trust.

Sid is described by his Trainer as a "Gentleman" is clean within the kennels - he has all the qualities that you would want in a dog.   Sid last raced in January 2009 and has had 104 Races - Sid does not have a liking for domestic dogs and therefore we assume that he would not be suitable with cats either.

Dog of the Week

I am supporting my local Retired Greyhound Trust  (Oxford) by raising awareness for them as they attempt to rehome these lovely dogs.

Roly  is a good looking blue boy who recently arrived from Ireland where he had 26 races - he only had 2 Races at Oxford when he sustained an injury to his wrist on the 08.03.12 which ended his racing days

Roly although being a very loving dog to humans is not good with other dogs/small animals so therefore he would need to be the only dog/pet in the family - because of this it is felt that Roly would need an Owner who has had some experience

Just For You

*2nd post of the day please scroll down*

As this Bank Holiday has mostly been wet I decided to go for Summer colours for my card and knew which little sweetie I wanted to use.

There were a couple of Challenges that I had in mind when I made this card and I really should be using these more as I have so many of their stamps!

I used some of my favourite Martha Stewart punches and a Fiskars butterfly punch.

Papers are First Edition Spring Drop and the orange gingham ribbon is from a Challenge win. Have you guessed who is it yet?

Happy Engagement!

My bil has recently become engaged and I wanted to make an engagement card for the happy couple. I used stickles to add some sparkle around the balloons.

I had already chosen the papers - Nitwits 'Affection' and had a new Penny Black stamp which I thought would be perfect. I used pink and white twine to tie the tags together.

I used my Martha Stewart corner punch to add a bit more detail and some lovely pink gems which I had in my stash.

I used my heart punch to punch out an extra two hearts to add on to the card.
