The lovely Wynneth set the theme of Zen last sunday and I struggled all week to come up with something... I then remembered this stamp set I got in a santa exchange. It's a quickie one layer card but I am considering sending it to my sis with the words.. 'Zen Panda says Chill....' - she is a primary school teacher and the hols are nearly over!
Welcome to my blog!
From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

For You
*2nd post of the day please scroll down*
This week’s Simply Stampin’ Challenge is punch it up, so you can use your die cuts or punches on your creation. I decided to put two colours together that I haven’t used before and am really pleased with how it turned out!!
Stampin Up products used; cardstock, crumb cake and certainly celery. Stamps are tiny tags, just perfect alphabet and sweet summer. Punch is jewellery tag medium and ink is old olive. I love the effect of the tags and obviously am entering it into the Simply Stampin’ Challenge.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges;
Pixie Dust Studios use a tag
Jules Snippet Challenge (both lots of cardstock were snippets)

Cas card
I thought I wouldn’t be able to take part in this week’s challenge over on the Simply Stampin Challenge blog as I didn’t have all these colours, and said as much to Carole, who I encouraged to take part in last week (she came in the top 3 btw!). Lo and behold I get post on a Sunday….all the above card stock…no excuse now! I did dither because pacific point threw a spanner in the works but eventually last night I figured it out. I also needed a card for the CMLI challenge on Craftbubble (theme was hello…but I have just realised there may have been a sketch too…whoops!)so thought I could kill two birds with one stone…
Stampin Up products used; all above cardstock, tiny tags stamp set, jewellery punch and sweet summer stamp set. This is the first time I have used my tiny tags and sweet summer set but I’m sure it won’t be the last.
Hope you all like it!
I will be entering this card into the following challenges;

Show us your Shapes
This weeks's challenge over at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges is to use a shaped card. Step away from those square and rectangle cards and try something new!
I have decided to go for a round card and thought the Vintage bike would look perfect on this, you can get this little beauty from the shop.
I love the flowers surrounding it, and decided to add some swirls as well!
Don't forget to pop over and see what the rest of the teamies have created!
I will be entering this card into the following challenges;
KB Cute Monday - anything goes using a digi
Stamp Something - digi day

Always Elegant
I came across a Stampin' Up! Challenge blog and decided to forward the details to my friend Carole as she is a demonstrator. She bounced it back at me so we would both make a card..of course Carole's was up in seconds whilst I decided on a stamp, colours, got the light tent out, cropped and watermarked. Follow the link to see Carole's gorgeous creation!!
Now I haven't known Carole very long so have limited SU! supplies but what I have used are; Crumb Cake card stock, Always Elegant Stamp and word window large punch. The pink paper is from snippets which has a similar deign to the stamp but not sure if you can see on here? Ribbon and gems from stash, sentiment , pink petticoat.

Im trying not to be political but...
I would encourage you all to complain to the BBC about the supposed comedian who was on Richard Bacon's show yesterday on BBC 5 at approx 3pm.
BBC Complaints
He encouraged us to listen to a set Doug Stanhope had done previously, on youtube, which involved Stanhope ranting about Sarah Palin in which he said she had two retarded children, one has downs syndrome and went to fight in Iraq, he was insulting and offensive, and i don't believe listeners should have been 'encouraged' to listen.

Last night's make and take!
I went round to my new buddy's open evening last night, Carole is a Stampin Up! demonstrator who makes the most gorgeous gorgeous things! We all had a fabulous time, some of the girls were so taken with the catalogue and ordering they didn't make..they just did the take to put together at a later stage!
I know you are dying to see what we made...
They are pillow boxes joined together, the light pink one has been embossed but not sure if you can make it out in the picture, we used a SU border punch to go around the boxes and tied it with razzleberry (i think) ribbon.
The sentiment was two separate stamps masked off, and the outer stamp and punch matched perfectly, what a perfect little gift for someone just to say thanks or just because.. it actually has sweeties inside but I think Imay keep the for myself!
In august if you spend £75 you get this lovely lot for free
so if you are interested contact Carole! or you can contact me - another order is going in thurs night :)
