I decided to do Kelly Rae Roberts Spirit Wings Workshop, my friend Debbie had already done it but wanted to do it again. I spent a lovely morning yesterday watching the tutorial and crafting along with her. The medium she uses for the first angel is oil pastels. I have to say they are not my favourite but I managed.....
We started out with collaging papers and gesso'd over the top then drew our angel.
I used a mix of yellow brown and peach to get a skin tone.
Then worked on shading.highlights.
Added colour and features.
Added hair and Kelly Rae;s signature white dots.
And finally here dress, wings and sentiment.
As she is whimsical, it was much less pressure to draw the features - I really enjoyed creating this and hope to be doing the next one soon!
