Welcome to my blog!

From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

Moonshine - August Full Moon Sturgeon

I am so happy with this!! Even tho I smudged over the lines :) It's very different from Effy's mermaid  - I was meant to draw her with her eyes closed but I forgot and I was happy with the eyes so kept them. I also couldn't bring myself to paint her blue - but the whole point of the projects is you should draw/paint what you feel :)

I started off with coloursoft flesh shade pencils but ended up going over it with acrylic paint. I used gelatos for the background but forgot they don't blend especially way - you still get the harsh lines.

I took a picture before adding things in case I completely screwed it up!

I used magnolia stamps and added a silver pen for scales.

I LOVE this and I love mermaids - I have a Tam Laporte project that was a charity buy for a water charity that I still need to do.

Hope you have had a craft full weekend!!

Leo Crescent Moon

This is made with acrylic paint and I have put a layer of clear gesso over the top - the paint makes the pages stick together in my journal and has damaged a couple of them. I have some fixative but if you use certain ink pads it makes them run.

It reads 'let this moon signify change, rebirth and unity'.

Hope your weekend is going well

This gorgeous boy needs a home!

Myles is one of our older boys he is a beautiful Blue giant with a kind loving nature who always seems to get over looked.   Myles has been waiting so long (since 2009) for his forever home so if you are thinking of considering an older dog please take time to consider him.  Myles really enjoys going for a walk so if you are looking for a companion for walking Myles is here waiting for you - Myles has not been tested with domestic dogs or cats
