just wish I had more free time to play! Ah well, I made a few of these cards for those times when you just need a card quick!
Welcome to my blog!
From x stitch I moved into card making - now I am playing around with mixed media! I am taking part in different workshops and with help from crafty pals, learning about different mediums and techniques. Hope you feel inspired to create after a visit to my blog - Happy Crafting!

Sketchie 26th Dec
I finally had some free time to play with some of my new stash. Magnolia stamp is from the stamp club (winter collection), promarkers of course and the round stars and stripe are from the cuttlebug 'boo to you' embossing folder.

Xmas hanger
This is a hanger I made for an exchange on craft bubble. It's a lovely hanger, I don't think the picture shows the beads and the ribbon tied around the sack x

Xmas Makes
My oh and his family have a tradition of tree presents. These are silly gifty things that are given out on boxing day. I had all good intentions of making Xmas hangers, coasters etc for presents but got swamped with all the exchanges and round robins I signed up for. I decided to make gift bags for the ladies instead, for the tree presents to go inside. I have 3 left to do for Xmas and instead I have spent the best part of the day setting this blog up.....oh and deciding on a name for it which involved much discussion and face pulling.... Anyway here is the first one I made..
Sketchie 19th Dec
This week's twist was to make a Christmas decoration but I got so giddy over making it I didn't follow the instructions properly. I spent the afternoon looking for digistamps and the evening playing with promarkers and nesties. It was only when i followed a link to Lauren's blog that I noticed they were meant to be 3d. I LOVED making them so although they are not right i'm still a happy crafter! I have also entered these in the passion for promarkers challenge which is anything but a card, Good luck everyone x
Sketch Saturday
Feeling decidely braver I attempted to make a card for Sketch Saturday. I was cutting it fine because this was friday afternoon and it had to be sent in by midnight. I decided I had to make some use of my cuttlebug and gorjuss girls stamps so my creation was very pink and very girly. As I didn't have a blog I had to email the sketch in and it was on the webpage for everyone to see! I have decided not to take part in this week's challenge as we are days away from Xmas and I have so many other things I should be doing instead!
Sketchie 12th dec
This was the second challenge I took part in and the twist was to use orange and brown. I was convinced I didn't have anything in these colours but after some digging around, came up with this.
I wasn't too happy with this although I got the colours right so my second attempt was more brown/cream and involved my faithful reindeer again!
My first Sketchie Challenge
I took the plunge and decides to have a go at this weeks Sketchie challenge. The twist was to use the same stamped image multiple times. As I had lots of Xmas cards to make, I decided to use the opportunity to make another at the same time. I have a cute (fairly simple) reindeer stamp so i stamped it twice and coloured with my promarkers. I stamped the sentiment and used a couple of brad's. The design team card's were fab as usual but as I am only just starting out I'm not gonna give myself a hard time over it.
My first post!
I never thought i would be setting up a blog, especially about crafting, but as that's what I spend most of my free time doing I suppose it makes sense :) Another push in this direction is the fact that i have started entering challenges and for a lot of these, you have to have a blog to link back too. Hopefully this stark bleak empty space will be full of crafty pictures and witty words...fingers crossed!
